Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

TruckerPro operates the free public freight load board at truckerspro.ca (the “Board”). Contact: info@truckerpro.ca, phone 431-788-0867 (Mon-Fri 8am-6pm CST).

2. What this policy covers

This policy applies to the Board only: searching loads and trucks, company poster accounts, posting freight or available equipment, carrier inquiries, load alerts, and related marketing pages on truckerspro.ca. It does not cover the TMS, BorderPro, or other TruckerPro properties unless those products link here with their own notice.

3. Information we collect

Account and company identity

• Name, company-domain email, password (stored as a one-way hash)
• Phone number, company name, role (broker / carrier / shipper / other)
• USDOT and MC numbers (format-checked; not a live FMCSA verification this pass)
• Email verification status and timestamps

Board postings and inquiries

• Load and equipment listings you publish (lanes, dates, rates, notes, contact fields)
• Carrier inquiries (name, email, phone, message) tied to a listing
• Board “contacted” flags for signed-in users

Load alerts

• Email address and optional lane / equipment filters
• Confirmation and unsubscribe tokens

Technical and security data

• Session cookies required for login, CSRF protection, and admin OTP flows
• IP address and timestamps used for rate limits and one-time codes
• Server logs and, when configured, error reports via Sentry (see below)

We do not sell personal information. We do not require payment card data on the Board; posting and search are free.

4. How we use information

• Operate the marketplace (accounts, postings, inquiries, manage links, alerts)
• Verify company email and reduce abuse (rate limits, honeypots, daily post caps)
• Email transactional messages: verification codes, password reset, inquiry notices, alert confirmations, and load-match notifications
• Respond when you contact us by phone, email, or WhatsApp
• Maintain security, debug failures, and measure reliability
• Comply with law and enforce the Terms of Use

5. Public visibility

Real open postings are public. When you post a live load or truck, the lane, equipment, dates, rate (if provided), company name, and the contact details you choose to show can be viewed by anyone who opens the listing. Do not put secrets in public notes.

Sample / illustrative rows (when shown) carry a Sample badge, no contact details, and are not bookable. They exist only so the empty board is not blank.

6. Sharing

We share data only as needed to run the Board:

• With other users of the Board — public listing fields and inquiry content you submit to a poster
• Service providers — hosting (Railway), transactional email (Resend), optional error monitoring (Sentry), optional analytics if a measurement ID is configured, and Google Maps Places when city autocomplete is enabled
• Legal and safety — when required by law, or to prevent fraud/abuse

The Board does not automatically republish TMS tenant freight. Customer freight from other TruckerPro products is not imported here without separate consent and product work.

7. Cookies and similar technology

We use essential cookies for sessions and CSRF. If Google Analytics or Maps is configured via environment, those services may set their own cookies under their policies. We do not run advertising trackers on the Board by default.

8. Retention

• Accounts and postings: kept while the account is active and as needed for the public board history, abuse prevention, and legal holds
• Covered / removed listings: retained in the database for operational integrity; they are not shown as open freight
• OTP codes and rate-limit rows: short-lived
• Alert subscriptions: until you unsubscribe or the row is deactivated

To request deletion of an account or personal data, email info@truckerpro.ca. We may retain limited records where required for security, fraud, or law.

9. Security

We use HTTPS, hashed passwords, CSRF tokens on forms, secure session cookies in production, and server-side OTP hashes for admin and email verification. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure; report issues to security@truckerpro.ca (see also security.txt).

10. Children

The Board is for commercial freight users. It is not directed at children under 13 (or the age of majority where higher).

11. International users

The Board is operated for Canadian and cross-border North American freight. Servers may process data in the United States or Canada depending on hosting. By using the Board you understand that information may be processed outside your province or country with appropriate safeguards from our providers.

12. Your choices

• Update company profile fields from your account page
• Mark loads covered or remove them via My Loads / manage links
• Unsubscribe from load alerts using the link in every alert email
• Request access or deletion by emailing us

13. Changes

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date will change. Material changes that affect account holders may also be noted on the site or by email when practical.
